Every morning I wash my hair in the sink and I will count about 20 strands that fall out. Then I put pomade and start combing. Every few times I comb my hair, like 3-4 strands will stick to the comb.
Every time I shower and I run my fingers through my hair I will lose 1-3 strands. Every time, it just won't stop. If I keep going, I'll just keep losing hair. Most of the hair I'm losing are full sized strands. I barely lose any hair at all when my hair is dry. Probably 1-2 strands for every 20 times I run my fingers through my hair.
I started using minoxidil about 3 months ago and I got the initial shed but it wasn't as bad as it is now. Could it be another minoxidil shed? This has been going on for about 3 weeks.
Does anybody know why I'm shedding so much? I know people lose 100 hair strands a day or whatever, but this just seems like a crazy amount.
Some background info. I just turned 18. I started noticing my hair loss at 17. I think I'm about a Norwood 1.5. I've already posted this somewhere else but barely got any replies. Hopefully some of you guys will know what's going on or what I should be doing. Thank you.
