Should You Take Finasteride Multiple Times Daily?

Finasteride eliminates 5 alpha reductase. The body is quite slow to produce it, so for some people it's even enough to take finasteride every few days.
Your mileage may vary though, so once a day is the safer bet.

From what I have read is that the half life is only 4-7hours, but it still manages to suppress DHT levels for up to 4 days. I am assuming that DHT levels would gradually go up over the 4 days though, so it could possibly be beneficial to take finasteride twice daily.

I would split your dosage into 2x daily as oppose to doubling it. Anything more than 2.5 a day is overkill imo.

word of warning bro ; never increase propecia dosage ; i took 5 mg because 1 mg didnt worked , sometimes i upped to 6 mg ( once morning an night) ; end of the course = gyno , i have to take a break = worse hair = stupidity over 9000

It's all good bro, it's understandable. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I can guarantee that anyone who is currently losing ground is not at ease of mind, and only few people are "brave" enough to take risks. In the last month I have have spent over $500 on bull sh*t, all because of hair. Bought 3 months supply of MinoxidilMax EssenGen-6 Plus, then found out even though it has low PG content, it irritates my scalp. Then bought 3 months supply of MinoxidilMax DualGen-15 No Pg, and after 1 application I found that 15% knocks me the f*** out and causes me to nearly faint so I decided not to use it. Then I bought shitloads of oils, but I can't be fucked to use them, if you're already on the big 3, who can be fucked to try apply oils religiously. Bought 2 bottles of Alpicort F, waiting for it to arrive. For all I know (god forbid) Alpicort F could give me systematic side effects but I'm taking the risk. Bought some castor oil, now like an idiot I drink 2-3ml of that sh*t everyday. Then I bought endless various supplements on vitacost. Last year I added dutasteride for 4 months because I thought it will stop my hair loss but those 4 months my hair went to hell. Some people are lucky to maintain with finasteride alone at least for the first few years and get on with their life happily assuming they don't get any side effects, or at least feel like they're getting side effects. We're all in the same boat after all. Don't take it too harsh on yourself for trying 5mg finasteride.

half-life of finasteride isn't important, it knocks out 5AR2 for ~2 weeks. multiple daily dosing won't change this.
