Should I use Rogaine?

Hi all quick question about Rogaine. I have been using finasteride since December last year, have seen some success with regrown temple hairs, nothing amazing but shows it's working and has improved by appearance a bit, so not planning on dropping it. Unfortunately I haven't seen any improvement on top, it may actually have got worse, it's pretty thin. Nothing drastic, but it can look pretty sh*t when it's unwashed or sweaty.

I've been holding out on Rogaine due to the cost and the hassle, but I'm a bit sick of worrying about how thin my hair is looking. I'm about 8 months in now, that's a pretty long time and I think the studies say it should be improving between nine months and a year. One option I could do is wait it out, and if I don't see results start Rogaine. Are there any other ways to thicken your hair slightly besides Rogaine or concealers like toppik?

Another option is I could buzz it, as I pull off the look ok, but it might make me look even balder. I'd prefer to keep a short to medium look and not have to worry too much about my hair looking crap. Can anyone help me out?

Well man I'm new around here and probably the least experienced/ knowledgeable one on the board, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt and most people seem to say that using the two together yields the best results. You're right, long as no sides, keep sticking it out with finasteride see how it is at about a year mark I would think. Rogaine is a pain to apply twice a day, I know I can't claim I've never missed an application. I probably miss 5 or so a week. But actually I kind of think that the Rogaine Foam actually makes it look a little more filled in somehow sometimes after applying it. The price sucks too, I just paid over 50 bucks for the next three month supply yesterday. But, if it works $17 a month is a bargain right.
