Hi, I'll cut straight to the chase,
I'm 19 years old, no balding in my immediate family and for the last 2-3 months or so i've noticed hair loss around my crown.
However, there was a large cyst under one of my wisdom tooth which was initially infected and removed as of 3 days ago, which I know to be a direct link of Alopecia areata.
My question is, is my sudden hair-loss/thinning correlated with the infection & cyst of the wisdom tooth, or was it just a coincidence that both happened around the same time, and i'm just facing regular male pattern hair loss..?

"A week after the teeth was extracted the patient reported cessation of the hair loss. Month after treatment there were new hair grow observed"
I am planning to wait around one week, if I do not see any signs of cessation of hair-loss (when I shower I see individual hairs on my hands during shampooing), Then I am going to purchase Minoxidil for regrowth of hair around the crown.
If anyone has any thoughts they would like to share, it would be extremely appreciated
