I tried Propecia for about 4 weeks, I got quite a few sides (Soft erections, watery semen, uncomfortable sensation in penis, ED, low libido) It really scared me so I quit. Took a couple of weeks and now back to normal.
I'm NW3ish, also using regaine foam. I decided messing with hormones was silly and shaved my head.
But my head shape looks really ****, kind of a pointy forehead and slopes quite a bit. Never really noticed until I shaved. This has really got me down as I was ready to accept being bald at 26! And its made me go from ok looking to fugly.
So of course now I want to try finestride again, I was happy I got back to normal last time, as Propeciahelp.com scared me that I might not recover.
Do you think I should try again and just ride out any side effects and give them a chance to subside? Does anyone know if post-finestride syndrome is more likely the longer you take it. Or that i recovered last time is a good indicator I will recover again.
Also considering a topical Antiandrogen - finasteride or RU, are these as affective as oral finasteride?
And quite interested in oral minoxidil. People taking oral minoxidil, do you also use topical.
Before I start I would like to get my hormone levels checked this time. Do you know if the NHS will do this for the sake of having baseline levels before taking propecia which isn't approved by NHS.
