I don't see how it could hurt to jump on finasteride at your age. Started when I was younger then you and never regretted since most of my bro's are bald and I still have hair. I did get sides though , loss some labido at first but it came back within the year or maybe I was lucky and ended hooking up with a hot girl, and she made me horny everyday.

Just wanted to give another update.

Still taking finasteride at various dosages (all less than .25 mg), but have decided to stick with .25 mg/day from now on.

Have missed a few days here and there but that was before I really committed to taking it - I think I'm in it for the long haul now.

Noticed increased shedding here lately (probably 50+ hairs in the shower today, although that could be a build up from yesterday since I didn't shower) and hair in the front seems to be a bit thinner.

Libido was really high for a couple weeks (after I complained about losing it) but seems to have leveled back off.

I have also noticed just how bad (subjectively speaking here) my hairline is. I was looking at it up close trying to see if any new hairs are sprouting yet (they're not) and barely tugged on one and it popped out. It felt more like it had been lightly "pasted" on my head rather than growing from it! It was also barely pigmented and very thin - classic male pattern baldness! In a way that makes me feel better because I'm not on finasteride for nothing, but at the same time it sucks because it confirms my fears :(

Since my hair grows very fast, is there any chance I'll see results quicker?
