Should I Take Estradiol + Spironolactone? (desperate)

I'm 18, and I've seen a few threads. I'm thinking of taking spironolactone along with estradiol. Will this help improve my hair? I'm currently an NW1 and I want to become an NW0.

I'm also wanting the other effects of the combination, such as: a reduction in body and facial hair, smoother skin, fuller cheeks.

Will it be worth it?

Before people ask: I'm not transgender. Although, I am a homosexual. I have no desire to go on Finasteride / Dutasteride.

not sure how much it would help your hairline since you already basically have a full head of hair. though it wouldn't hurt and might help.

if its worth it? only you can answer that. If you don't mind developing breasts and losing sperm production then I don't see why not

yeah, it'd probably do you good if the hairline was there before.. just be careful with potassium levels on spironolactone and get enough salt.

When it comes to doses, how much should I take?

I'm guessing 2MG of Estradiol, and 100MG of Spironolactone.

do you want to take lowish doses, as some do hoping its enough for hair, or trans-level doses?

I'm not sure, I honestly want the feminising effects, I just don't want to grow some DD breasts. I think 200MG is the highest they prescribe at the GP (higher would be at specialists), and Estradiol where I live comes in 1MG, 2MG or 10MG.

I take 6mg estradiol a day, and 1 diane-35 per week. I haven't grown DDs. Theres a higher chance for you I guess cause you're much younger, and depends on your weight, etc.. but A to B cup is more likely. and there are many strategies to hide reasonably sized breasts

Well, I take oral minoxidil. so, because of min and estradiol together, i have weird massive body hair sheds syncronized every few months.. and then for a few months it gets thicker, and then repeats... and the impact of body hair depends on location, if min wins or E wins.. overall, my arms are more hairy cause of the min..leg hair is slightly less than before but still looks hairy cause I was pretty hairy to begin with. but my chest and stomach hair is dramatically reduced

Facial hair, its slightly reduced. however, in some locations, some parts are there and growing but growing unevenly. One side of my mustaches grows faster than the other side.. mostly only the upper parts of parts of beard are affected. the lower half meaning chin and under is still very thick, theres a tiny patch under my chin but its not enough to be noticeable to others..

I started however at 26, a couple months before I turned 27.. so it may reduce better for you since you're young.. but maybe not, cause i take much more.

also, I don't have any sperm production.. permanence, I can only know for sure if I stop and try to get it back.. the longer on these regimens the harder it is to get back, but still its very possible..

It is really bad.. I just cut the photo strategically.

since this last summer, i was using spironolactone. but for 2 weeks or so I haven't been on any AA, except for the diane once a week.. my balls have been turned off so long now that its fine. taking 6mg estradiol keeps my T from returning, I don't feel a difference

It won't shrink, if you use it often enough...

androgens maintain penile size even if we stop using it through spontaneous erections like morning wood.. on HRT that will stop happening, so we have to get a boner about once a week or so to prevent the shrink.

That's great. Even if I do lose some size, I guess the saying applies: you lose some, you gain some.

Going from Norwood 1 to 0 is so much harder than Norwood 4+ to 1,i think mechanical stimulation is needed to reduce the scap tension, remember that estrogen will only fix the hormonal issues, there are other factors, when starting this regimen I actually wanted the feminzation effects of estrogen I think they are cool, but remember we will always present as males, and actually using anti androgen for years is not healthy for you, you can't be long on them, they are harsh chemicals, so you either have to give them up and become bald, or go for orchiectomy which will keep your hair until your funeral

I agree. . I never had a Norwood 0 even before puberty, at least I don't remember having it? even many women have Norwood 1 and not Norwood 0.. babies often are born looking like they have a reecedding hairline. and norwood 1 is not considered balding! the lower the norwood the harder it is to regrow it. and Ive seen people recover most of thier hair to norwood 2.5 to 1 with extreme regimens.. then again Norwood 1s don't usually do extreme regimens.. maybe its better chance for him if he actually had Norwood 0 at birth, but I think it might be close to impossible for nearly everybody!!

If you are happy with feminizing results i dont know what are you waiting to go with spironolactone and estradiol. Some minoxidil will help a lot too.

But dont all these Anti androgens cause massive sheds? and there is no guarantee it will work or regrow hairs you would lose due to a Telogen Effluvium caused by the meds. I am female and have been sitting on the fence in regards to AAs. Its all so risky.

I agree, taking estrogen alone is an anti androgen, so no need to tax the liver just for extra androgen suppression
