Hi first post on here, and I feel pretty stupid that I did`nt know about this site till now :dunno:

Anyways been on finasteride for 8 months, I experienced the shedding on the 5th and 6th month, it seemed to have stopped now. I also started to see some new hairs growing in the same follicle canal as telegon hair. I guess this is a good thing it`s only a couple that I noticed.

So I want to switch to dutasteride , because as I gather it is more effective, should I do it now or should I wait? theoretically is it possible for dutasteride to interfere with the new anagen hairs that are supposedly growing...

I have`nt really seen any real regrowth, it just these couple of hairs that I noticed that appear to be in the same follicle as other weaker hairs..

I wouldn't. Just stay on the finasteride for now. It has been suggested than dutasteride destroys hairlines but maintains crown and mid-scalp more effectively. dutasteride is currently under FDA trials and we should see the results within 6 months. I suggest waiting until these studies/findings become available before switching (which is what im going to do also).
