Thanks for reading.

I started using generic (Dr Reddys) finasteride 1mg for 3 months now.. im also using 5% minoxidil on the crown and washing my hair with RegenepureDR(Ketoconazole). While my crown has minimal improvement, my temples and front half of my head is losing hair which was never even a problem before starting finasteride. I still loose hair daily and its not subsiding. What do you all recommend?

Theres posts about going from Brand to Generic but not the reverse. I read that the way finasteride is broken down in the body is slightly different which may be the reason its not working? I'm not too sure about this since generic should be nearly identical and Dr. Reddy's Brand is legitimate.

I also just read some articles about adding dutasteride 0.5mg to the mix. I am contacting my doctor to run some blood tests to check my DHT levels and see where they are at, I realize that this is a good indicator if the finasteride is even doing anything. If the levels come back elevated still, I think I will consider supplementing my finasteride along with dutasteride maybe every other day since the half-life is so great? Any thoughts?

Hi, I've used finax for 2 years with good results. Got it from united pharmacies but I see they have stopped stocking it now along with finasteride altogether...so I'm also thinking of switching to a different brand, maybe even propecia from the local pharmacy, but damn it's hella expensive!! If you could tell me where you're getting the generic in 1mg form I'd really appreciate that, maybe by pm? Thanks, and sorry if this post doesn't really help you

I get the generic "Dr Reddys" via prescription from walgreens .. it's also pretty expensive since insurance doesn't cover it. But not as bad as brand
