Should I stop Saw Palmetto?

Hello everyone,

I don't really know if I'm balding or no, I may have some slightly thinning hairs on top.

I started Saw Palmetto extract supplements but here are my questions:

1) Reading on internet, I found that it increase the testosterone level, could this accelerate a male pattern baldness?

2) Saw plametto is known to be rich in fatty acid. From what I know, fatty acid lead to bad cholesterol which lead to hair loss. With the ammount of fatty acids/sterols in Saw palmetto could this increase my LDL cholesterol?

Thank you in advance

Saw palmetto is cheap, and will likely provide very small albeit positive impact on your overall health.

Also, 0.3 grams a day of fat of any kind will have extremely negligible impact on your cholesterol.

So Saw Palmetto doesn't help to maintain hair?

I may stop it, I read it's increase the testosterone and I don't want my hair to be worse.

It does absolutely nothing for your hair. If it actually decreased DHT then it would have the same sides as finasteride

I went to a scam artist hair loss specialist who sold DHT-suppressing saw palmetto pills. Not sure if they helped my hair but they quickly ruined my sex life. It took 6 weeks to get back to normal after I quit them.

It's a cruel joke that products which help your hair hurt your erections.

it helps if your issue is not male pattern baldness. I'm a woman and it significantly grew my hair.
