How’s that going for you? Heard a lot about loss after moving back down to Finasteride and DutasterideDutasteride is much more effective than RU58841. Both would be better.
I'm in the same boat as you tho. Had to stop dutasteride because of cognitive side effects, so now It's just finasteride+RU.
I'm not really sure. My hair loss was bad before starting dutasteride, and it has gotten worse since, but I don't know if that's the dutasteride's fault or just.. y'know.. progression. How’s that going for you? Heard a lot about loss after moving back down to Finasteride and Dutasteride
At what dose do you take Finasteride?
And also, how expensive is RU?
Thanks man
Well there goes that idea.. do I have any other options in regards to either going to finasteride + ru or taking something to control my estrogen? (Which has made a clear positive effect in the past)RU is really weak compared to Dutasteride. I tried to lower my dutasteride dosage and add RU ... it was a big mistake.
Wouldn’t that lead to me losing more because Dutasteride’s stronger? Also should I use the RU powder or premade? And do I have to avoid sweating etc like with minoxidil?I would do finasteride + RU if I was you.
Would ru in high concentrations (7,5%) help for someone who can maintain on finas, not dutaRU is really weak compared to Dutasteride. I tried to lower my dutasteride dosage and add RU ... it was a big mistake.
Dont use premade solution, always prepare the solution you yourself, RU looses effectiveness over time, so prepare each week the solution for that same week. Use Hellouser's guideWouldn’t that lead to me losing more because Dutasteride’s stronger? Also should I use the RU powder or premade? And do I have to avoid sweating etc like with minoxidil?
Probably, since in the studies we have they claimed that RU 5% was equal or superior to finasteride. That one was as far as I know never published though so could have had shoddy methodology, or they had already given up on considering RU a viable commercial success so they didn't go through the work of publishing. No one will ever know.
It was just from this PR statement (PSK3841 = RU58841):
“PSK 3841 ProSkelia partnering opportunity, Worldwide Partners are sought by ProSkelia for the development of PSK 3841, Neil Brown, Vice President of Licensing and Acquisitions at ProSkelia, announced during a presentation at BioSquare PSK 3841, a nonsteroidal antiandrogen, has completed phase IIa trials for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia and a clinical proof-of-concept study to reduce sebum flow and secretion in patients with acne. Six months of treatment with PSK- 3481 demonstrated equivalent or better net hair growth compared with finasteride”
But 7.5% should be decent if you don't have aggressive hairloss genes. Take pictures and monitor closely. Restart finasteride or something else if you don't get results.
Keep in mind also 2 mL of 7.5% RU twice a day becomes fairly expensive. If it wasn't for the excessive cost of RU we could use 10% per day and probably get much better results.
Lol i was thinking about just using RU once daily, would it work?2 mL * 7.5% RU58841 twice daily = 300 mg/day = 109.5 grams/year
At Kane's prices ($460/30g) this works out to $1680/year.
At Lyphar's prices ($210/30g) this works out to $767/year.
Finasteride 5 mg for a year cut into quarters (91 tabs) looks like around $127/year.
Finasteride is the cheapest effective hairloss remedy on the market by a long shot. But RU at Lyphar's prices is not the end of the world probably for most if truly needed. Still cheaper than going bald and trying to transplant your way to a solution then.
Im not using minoxidil atmIt was used once daily in the studies but i believe all topicals should be used twice daily since we have to use minoxidil twice daily anyway.
Dutasteride increases bothdutasteride increases T not E.
Continue both for best results...
I've been on finasteride for 3 years now. Not really concerned about it.Yeah now just wait for the finasteride sides to kick in buddy.. Get off it..
