Should I resume minoxidil?

Hey guys looking for opinions on my situation at the moment.

I started minoxidil early 2014 and continued until febuary of this year and applied to to my right temple and my crown. I was a NW1 at the time but with a bald spot at the back. It's important to note that I always had a swirl thing on my crown but it just seemed like my hair was starting to go back there so i jumped on minoxidil while being scared of finasteride. Over the course of the year my right temple and only my right temple not my left where i wasn't applying min thinned horribly. I'm now no where near a nw1 on the right side. Probably a 2 and my crown has thinned where the minoxidil would run down before i could grab a towel to wipe the extra min off.

I want to go back to my original hair before starting this stuff but I also don't want to lose any more hair on it. It seems everywhere the minoxidil touched over the course of a year I thinned out heavily while everywhere it didn't touch remained thick. When i first came on here I had people doubting I even had hairloss and now there's no question :/

If you are thinning then you should be on propecia first, understandable that your scared of sides its all over the internet **** even my dermatologist told me there is a risk of going limp dick for the rest of your life.

I've been on finasteride since November. No real bad side effects as of yet but my left chest area hurts randomly sometimes. My concern with minoxidil is that it's thinning me out faster along with male pattern baldness. I mean, the other front side where i was using it is still thick as a hillbilly while the side i used it on has gone back at least 1.5 cm into a nw2 as well.

Hard to say, it might just be male pattern baldness progressing and you are not responding to minoxidil. Like I said earlier if you are not seeing results after a year, I'd just discontinue minoxidil.
