Should I quit Minoxidil?

I've been using propecia for 2 years and its been working well. I recently started Minoxidil to slow down shedding on my temples but so far, I've been experiencing some dandruff and scalp irritation. I was wondering if I should continue using Minoxidil after 3 weeks or just quit right now if its not going to be effective on my temples. I heard it only works on the vertex, is this true? I only apply it once a day too so I'm not sure why it irritates my scalp that much.

Keep the minoxidil, and add in Nizoral if you are not using it already. I had itching and flaking when starting minoxidil too, but it went away either as a function of the Nizoral or perhaps just on its own, over time. If after a month of Nizoral use you are still flaking, then perhaps reevaluate.

I used rogaine for two months only at night.(without propecia)

And it didnt itch at all.

Now I'm using kirkland 5% minoxidil in the morning and evening. But the itching is pretty bad. (using it for one week now)(with propecia)

I use t-gel once a week and head and shoulders 2 times a week.

Should I use minoxidil 1 time a day or should i change to rogaine again??

Please help!

Cheers!
