Should I get prescribed for Propecia? [Pics included.]

Please take a look at my pictures and tell me if you'd ask to be prescribed for propecia with similar conditions.

Also, how much do you guys pay for Propecia? I hear a 30 day supply of 1mg finasteride costs around $80, but if one cuts those pills in half to .5mg pills, it works out to $40 a month, which is more manageable.

Do you get that with a prescription at a pharmacy, or some place else? How would I know if I was buying a legitimate drug?

I suppose it is $8 a month for you if you have insurance? At inhousepharmacy, it is sold for 5mg at $100 for a 30-day supply.

i do have insurance, but i do not use it for my proscar. it's unethical to use insurance for this, since it's technically for BPH, not male pattern baldness like propecia.

I still do not understand how you are able to pay only $8 for Proscar.

i should clarify...i get generic proscar from my local pharmacy, which is $32 for 30 pills.

so...cutting each pill into fourths lasts for 4 months, therefore $8 a month.

and since i get my presciption filled at a local pharmacy in the USA, i can be assured it's the real deal.

Today, I made the decision to get on propecia. I will look into ways of buying the medication cost-effectively. Thank you for the advice. Proscar at $32 seems oddly inexpensive; I wonder if that is the price for most pharmacies in the US. Do you think I should get on propecia? My Dad is very bald.

I also saw your self-pictures. Your male pattern baldness seems to reflect my own. Did you have to go through an alarming amount of shedding? I think the price-point and the shedding of my hair is what scares me the most about finasteride.

I got 30 pills of 5mg finasteride from my pharmacy for €4.47, is that cheap or what? Screw Propecia's rip off prices.

Your crown still looks ok. So nothing to panic about.

Are your male parents or relatives bald? If so, no harm on getting on the band wagon as long as you don't get side effects. If so, just get off it straight away.
