Been debating the idea about whether or not I should get off finasteride. I don't think my hair hasnt gotten any better or worse besides a weaker hairline, but what does make my hair appear worse is the shiney scalp i have now throughout the day and the dandruff. My scalp has been itching for the past 3 months although it did get better after applying a topical steriod for a week, now it just itches sometimes. I also think what made my scalp itch intensively was when i was dermarolling everyday for a week my scalp would itch constantly everyday (since applying the topical steriod i have stopped dermarolling). I think finasteride is causing the itchy/shiney scalp and the dandruff (im using tgel tsal as well). As for libido some days if up some days its down but i think this has always been like this plus i have a gf and havent had a problem since being on treatment. I don't want to come off the pill cause its the primary treatment in combating dht but i just dont think im a responder and am actually having adverse effects.

finasteride is a dream for some and a nightmare for others... you really have to wait it out though to see. You may have Telogen Effluvium induced from the rapid hormonal fluctuation.

It's strange I noticed recently if I rub my knuckles on the side of my head those hairs fall off too ... Could lifting weights a lot and having a lot of sex mess with any thing ? Or is that just broscience

no, that won't effect hair loss in any way, unless you're on steroids or crazy supplements. Go to a dermatologist and get your scalp evaluated. You might have telogen effluvium.. this is more common than people think when starting finasteride. It is a strong drug that alters the levels of your DHT and consequently, your testosterone through feedback. Or you might be a poor responder. Also, the hair loss might reside and you might start responding well. This is a VERY POORLY understood drug.
