Since I started on this hair loss journey I have been working with this Dermo who is said to be one of the best Dermos in NYC. Yet when I go I get the sense that they really are not the aware. For example when I asked about the Nizoral shampoo the doctor said my scalp was not flaky so there is no reason to use it, even though later I found studies online that said the shampoo could potentially have an actual effect on hairloss.
Further the only treatments they seem to put any stock in are the two pills, and the M foam. And even then I dont get much discussion about it from them. Yet I keep reading online how hair loss should be treated on a number of fronts.
Is seeing a dermo not a good idea for hairloss? What should I look for in a doctor for hair loss. Or should this hard liners approach on "what works" be what I should expect from any doctor?
Thanks. for the advice guys, I just dont feel the support coming from my Doctor! No real advice besides "here some pills, have a nice day!"
(office is very pretty though, very calming....)
