Should I buzz my long Hair? Cut or don't cut?

So a couple years ago I began growing out my hair. I find out last year that I'm losing it. Yea it sucks, that I got the length I've been shooting for and I don't even get to enjoy it. I don't want to deal with drugs or anything so I'm just waiting for it to deteriorate. I figure I should get over it now and not deal with it in the future, I'm 23. Well it will be soon that I have to buzz off my hair.

I do a combover sort of thing, but not overly noticeable, I just part it a certain way. The top pic is what I usually do cause I have receding on the sides.

This is before I've showered and shampooed, so the MBP is more noticeable, but sooner or later I'm going to have to cut it. What do you guys think. Wait a little longer before the buzz? Or buzz now?

I you're not going to take a shot at some sort of maintenance or recovery with medicines I would definitley buzz it. I did it and haven't regret it for a moment. Sure I would take 2 inches of healthy hair over the buzzcut anyday, but you gotta deal with it one day that, that is not gonna happen even with the meds. So I'd say buzz it, cry out loud if you have to and man up after that. It will save you a lot of time trying to hide something that you cant hide.
Get some tan on top of your head (facetanner?) and do whatever your thinning hair may have held you from doing before.

Keep your head up

You still have lots of hair, why buzz it? Just get a shorter, neater cut and maybe use some wax-based styling gel.

I really think keeping it short and neat is key for people losing hair.

Also- why so against propecia and rogaine foam? Both are FDA approved to combat hair loss. It's really not as major a commitment as people make it sound, like brushing your teeth, if that. I think it's totally worthwhile and worth a try since you're going to lose your hair anyway.

I was thinking about a topical, I definitely don't want to take any meds. I dunno it just seems like a big hassle, and I've heard that using a topical alone won't help much. I've been using nizoral, that's about it.

why are you so against propecia? just take it, it's not going to kill you.

popping a tiny little pill everyday is too much of a hassle? are you the laziest man alive?

just kidding, but seriously, it's worth a try to see how you respond.

Just seems like a lot of money and maintenance.

Maybe I'll look into it again. Thanks for the advice.
