So i recently got a haircut, and i usually cut it rather short, but this time the lady who cut my hair mentioned to me that my crown looks thin.
To be honest i had never looked at the top of my head before. My hair has always been on the dry and frizzy side but it was never to the point of irritation where my head would itch or anything and a couple of months back i purchased some pomade to put on the top of my head where my scalp was dry as recommend by the same lady who cut my hair recently. I've been using this pomade almost religiously putting it on after washing my hair everyday and keeping it in there and i would only put it on the top of my head. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not, or maybe stress as i'm currently in nursing school which is stressful. Honestly im freaking out.

heres a pic of the top of my head

so should i be concerned or is it the pomade and frequent hair washing i do?

I would say that you have alopecia. As you are on hair loss talk; that means you are worried. If you want to; read up on Propecia and Minoixidil. Those 2 might help regrow some of your lost hair and slow down your rate of hair loss. It's better to start treatment as soon as possible and not wait.

Goodluck :)

dang, i guess im gonna try to go to a doctor to rule out any other health factors, should i go to a regular dr. or a dermatologist?
If it is male pattern baldness, which it probably is i think i might just let it go and buzz it eventually, honestly reading up on the drugs stresses me out even more. i think i will just try to improve my diet and exercise and let nature take its course.
