I've been only on finasteride for like 3 months and a half. I only have hair loss in my temples so you can say that I started to hopefully maintain (and regrow) early in the balding process (if I were going to anyway).
The thing is, I also have thinning on the sides and near the ears/nape area, so I also suffer from what is being called here "retrograde alopecia". I am considering now to add minoxidil and spray it only on the sides (and why not on the thin/bald temples also). I am not interested in spraying minoxidil on areas where I don't have any hair loss at all.
So should I add minoxidil or give finasteride some time in a hope to thicken the hair loss on the sides? Have anyone had any success with treating retrograde alopecia?
