Like I said, there is also chronical telogen effluvium with does not last 6 month but way more. Did your hair start to thin gradualy at the same pace over time or it was fast?
It was very fast. I mean its like I got my haircut, after 2 months I went again and barber said your sides are thinned too much. After 4 months I started noticing my crown area. But it was like 3 years ago. And I think I am still shedding too much. Not like 3 years ago ofc. I don't remember a moment when I didn't think about my hair after barber said that...

@Suswang Reference range is 25-80 ng/mL for optimal and I had 24.07 ng/mL last year. But I used something which I don't remember it's name and after 1 month it become 67ng/mL so it is not the problem probably.

I'm in a situation similar to yours however I have diffuse thinning on all the top of my scalp, very little receding hairline. I have shared my story earlier here:
https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...ir-loss-male-pattern-baldness-or-else.101456/

I was almost on Propecia 1mg for almost a year and a half with no improvements, this is why I thought I might have Telogen Effluvium however I have a lot of thin/miniaturized hair and this makes me tend more to male pattern baldness.

I have recently tested my DHT level and it was 104 pg/ml which seems reduced however I'm not sure if it should be less than that to notice less hair loss, some guidance here would be appreciated.

A week ago I decided to switch to Avodart 2.5 mg/day hoping it will help, I'm also on Minoxidil and Nizoral.

Hello guys, again. I got my blood tested and results are kinda interesting for me. Exactly 1 year ago (before finasteride) my total testosterone was 909 ng/dL. Reference range is like 300-990, if I am not wrong. After my 5th month on finasteride I got my dht levels checked and it was 117.7pg/mL. As I read from internet finasteride causes increase on total testosterone and decreases dht. I didn't even miss 1 pill, I am on my 9th month on this and my latest testosterone level is 470 ng/dL and my dht is 280 pg/mL. How is this possible? I mean how did my dht increase, I don't get it. My iron and ferritin levels are good, but my antibody levels are worse than the other tests so I will see endocrinologist next week.

Hey guys. I just wanted to update my status. I am on my 11th month on finasteride, my hair is pretty much same. Last month my endocrinologist diagnosed me with hashimoto's disease and suspected from papillary thyroid cancer because I had a small nodule on my right thyroid lobe. Biopsy results were clean so I am not cancer ^^. I am currently waiting my blood test results for looking my TSH level because doctor said he is gonna dose medicine according to my TSH level. Maybe my hashimoto's disease is one of the things which affects my hair. As a reminder, I am losing hair from everywhere especially from my sides. Here are my photos and if there is someone who has some knowledge about my situation, I would like to hear some advice.

Please keep us updated about your blood test results and diagnosis. We seem to be in a similar situation.
