short hairs that NEVER grow

Hi,

I recently shaved my head (diffuse thinning) and in between the longer hairs i can notice and feel shorter hairs around 1/2mm that never seem to grow.My barber has mentioned this twice to me that i have short hairs. Have any of you had similar experiences? my mum found a shampoo at the local pharmacy that seems to tackle this. i'm thinking of giving it a go.

if these hairs were to grow, it would make an incredible difference.

That is why you have diffuse thinning. Balding hair doesn't just suddenly disappear it goes through many cycles of falling out and growing back but growing back shorter and thinner each time before eventually disappearing.

Those short hairs you see are the hairs damaged by DHT and which are on their way to disappearing unless you use something like propecia or minoxidil.

Its called miniturisation, these (peach fuzz) hairs have gradually gotten shorter and thinner because of DHT eventually they will disapear completley.

Give a try to Tricomin, maybe will not see new regrowth but can help you making those hairs more longer and darker

global and s.a.f: i think you are right but i am hesitant to go on oral meds. for the time being, i may try this shampoo but would you recommend rogaine on its own?

btw, has anyone heard of this shampoo, alpecin, before?

Nope, but i'm very curious about the results

You can always try my shampoo regimen, one day Nivea's Hair Recharge Shampoo the next day Nizoral 2% Ketoconazole. My hair looks thicker.
