Short dark hairs on hair line: sign of thinning or regrowth?

Just today while I was applying minoxidil to my hairline, i noticed several 1-2 cm hairs on my left hairline/temple region. they seemto be quite dark. Are these a sign of thinning or of regrowth?

Sounds like those thinning little hairs are getting thicker (regrowth)

How long have you been on minoxidil when you noticed this? I had been on Rogaine Minoxidil for only a week when I noticed similar hairs. But I'm not getting my hopes up too high; however, I am rooting on these little guys. Also, I've not noticed any shedding from the Minoxidil (twice a day for two weeks now) and my hair already feels thicker. Maybe I'm not thinning and just had a bad haircut (yeah, right).

I have been on minoxidil for about a month now. I have been on finasteride for 4 months. Its funny, i just noticed the hairs today. my hairline is pretty good as it is, only very slight recession at the temples (might even be my normal mature hairline) . My goal was just to maintain really and maybe grow back what little I may have lost.

It's too early to tell. They are probably small weak hairs that are ready to jump ship.

Don't worry, stay steadfast to your regimen and they may very well come back....with friends!

You guys are about to experience to slow ups and downs of a regimen. Some weeks you will feel like you look like utter crap, the next month you will see obvious regrowth...

Just hang in there! It really does work but takes a long time. No overnight miracles when regrowing hair.
