Shiny Scalp With Minoxidil Foam?

The top of my head is pretty much bald but has lots of fine hair which allows me to use hair fiber concealers.

However, unlike slick shiny bald, the top of my head was always a dull pure white, like what you would see if you pushed away the hair in the back of your head that never sees sun and looked at the scalp.

I have been using minoxidil liquid for years but two months ago I decided to try the foam and have been using it since then. Today when looking at the top of my head in the mirror, I notice it is now all very shiny.

I don't know if I have lost more fine hairs causing more scalp to show which is the reason it now looks shiny, or if it is the minoxidil foam causing it. I just washed my hair last night so I wouldn't think it to be an accumulation of oils.

I know with the minoxidil liquid it took a long time to dry but with the foam it dries in a matter of minutes. It makes me wonder if the foam not as effective and my hair loss is accelerating by going off the liquid.

I did see someone in the forums say they hair growth increased a lot more when they switched from the liquid to the foam which is one reason why I made the switch. I did notice shedding and hair loss when switching to the foam which I know you usually see when you start minoxidil so am not sure if using the foam is helping or hurting.

Guess I will stick with it for a couple more months at least but if I lose too much more fine hair I won't be able to use concealers and with bad hair transplants in front, they are a must.

Could be the alcohol content in the foam. Rubbing alcohol causes my sebaceous glands to go into overdrive and makes my skin shiny.
