Hello guys. Its my fist post here. It's a great site. ok my probem : I am using minoxidil for about 4 months now and revivogen 5,5. On the third month i had used all the 3 bottles kirkland minoxidil i had , so because i didn't want to stay without minoxidil i bought regaine 5% from my local pharmacy. That happed on August. I used regaine for about one month and i changed again to kirkland because my orderd had arrived. Since then (three weeks) i am having a really bad sheeding. I am really sad cause i ve been going really good. So, 5 days now , i turned back to regaine. What's going on? Did minoxidil loses its power on just 4 months? Please help me out guys.. :-(( what is this crazy sheed from nowhere??? Thanks a lot

I don't know for certain if changing the brands did anything.
A lot of people freak out about sheds, but if you think about it, shedding is sort of a necessary step to improving your hair. Your damaged follicles will die, the hair sheds, and you grow newer, better hairs. Keep sticking with it, if anything the shedding is a sign that it's doing something.

thanks for your answer. But i know that sheed is something you see on the first two-three weeks on minoxidil. I use it 4 months already . The only thing i changed is minoxidil from kirkland to regaine. (As i said i switced to regaine again 5-6 days ago). Did minoxidil loses suddenly its power? what should i do???Really thanks guys

if you didn't have initial shedding, this may be. As far as I know, when on hair loss medication, there are no set rules as to when to expect sheds and how long they last. You can get one at the very early stage or months later or none. cheers!

does anyone knows what's going on? Please help
You hair is shedding. There is no rule that says sheds only occur when you first start treatment. Sheds can occur at any time, and worrying about it won't make it go away. The best thing to do is trust it's getting better and stick through it.

Thank you for your answer... I hope things will get better. Its is really frustrating. I think the hair fall out will come back stronger and thicker. I don't know what to expect.. And i am only on 4th month on minoxidil...

4th month shed? That's actually a pretty good sign. Treatment takes about 3-4 months to start working, and that's still considered pretty lucky. This is the shed you've been waiting for. Embrace it, your hairs will go through the cycle of shedding and growing and it'll get better.
