ok i have 1 year pics on the way, cause this month it's been a year ince i started the big 3, i just have a question about sheds, i am notiving a lot of hair in the bath after i wash, most of these hairs have no bulbs, i believe that means they wont grow back, i also only use minoxidil at nite, im on 5 percent but will go back to morning and night if people advise it! and im a diffuse thinner can anyone "shed" some light on these recent sheds?

Totally normal. Sheds for ALL people, whether they suffer from male pattern baldness or not, tend to happen in sudden cycles. It's just that us male pattern baldness people notice them that makes us think the sky is falling. It's not. Relax.

Not an accurate conclusion to draw. Sounds more like brittle hair/breakage to me. NOW, if you see a hair with a bulb that is thinner at the bulb than it is towards the cut end, then get worried. I would be less worried about hairs with NO bulb than I would be if I saw lots of hairs being shed with teeny tiny bulbs. Since hair is supposed to be at its thickest when it reaches the end of its very long growth cycle and finally sheds the bulb in preparation for another future cycle, hair with very small bulbs would be a more accurate descriptor of hair that is in trouble.

If a hair has NO bulb, then you don't know where it is in the course of its growth cycle. It might be a thin hair that broke off a follicle very early in its growth cycle, which, as it continues to thicken as it nears the end of its cycle, might get relatively thick?

I would definitely go for 2x daily minoxidil. If your hair is breaking, it could use more intensive treatment to improve the hairshaft diameter. This means minoxidil and Nizoral, buddy. Good luck.

Hair thinner at the end

Question? So what do you mean by hairs that are thinner at the end. I ve been on propecia for almost 2 months and when my hairs fall out they have the white bulb and are thinner at the end. Is this not a good sign, or are these hairs that were starting to be affected by DHT and are now shedding?

Thanks,
Tony :) 8) :D
