Shedding Significantly At 19 After Starting Minoxidil

A few months ago I noticed my temples getting higher and higher, I've never before had a problem with my hair before. My dad is bald, but he didn't really go "fully bald" until he was 30 (he had decent hair until then), and everyone on my mom's side hash air.

So I thought whatever, I'll start Minoxidil (2 months ago) in hopes of getting regrowth around the temples. But in these passed 2 months, I have lost A LOT of hair. I mean FAST, I can now see through my scalp at all times and I look like I have an illness and it's really freaking me out. It's not even evenly shedding either, it's just clumps randomly around my crown, it doesn't look right to me, it doesn't even look like male pattern baldness.

So what's the deal? I'm starting Finasteride this week, but it's a double-edged sword because I've read that DHT has a lot to do with facial masculinization, and I would still appreciate growing a bigger jaw & chin as most males seem to do into their early 20s.

How could I lose so much hair in 2 months? Before these 2 months, never in my life had I been able to see through my scalp in regular bathroom lightning, my hair's never been this thin before, when I touch my scalp now it feels very different.

Is it possible that my hair loss just randomly accelerated in the passed 2 months?
