shedding or finasteride shedding?

Hi again im stilll a noob i know and i thank everyone for bearing with my probably retarded questions to the most of you, but im on the finpecia from cipla im not sure if its legit it came in silver tabs with cipla finpecia written on it processed in bangladore, but thats besides the point.

I am currently experianing shedding when i run my hands thru my hair and ESPECIALLY if i style i mean its pretty bad if i style like 30 hairs and if i want to keep rubbing my hands thru it will keep going. The weird thing is i dont get clumps of hair in the shower ever??? does that happen to the rest of you it pretty much seems to be in the sink and stuff weird??

But when will i notice the finasteride "shed" im supposed to have when taking the drug, is it going to be noticeably different than the shedding i am having now and will it make me look liike i am goiing bald, any replies would help thanks a bunch again

I started to shed on finasteride at month 7 - 8. I have baths every day and I noticed loads of hairs each time, now I don't get this and I don't get hairs on my hands when I run them through my hair. Problem is the shed has devesated my temples and there is a general thinning all over.


In all the years of hair loss I have never had clumps in the sink. Just in the last 2 months I have lost more hair than in my entire hairloss history. This has to be down to finasteride.

You probably will shed but it's hard to say how big it will be..

why would u have more hairloss than ever if u have been using finasteride for 7-8 months doesnt it work within 2-3, and what do u mean u have general thinning all over, if u said when u run ur hands thru ur hair u never have any hairs on it, im just really confused by your post thats all

I just hit a big shed at months 7-8. My hair thickened up from when I started up until the shed.

But during my wholde time with MBP I never noticed losing loads of hair. The progression was very slow.

Now after my shed, it looks like my loss has accelerated beyond anything I have seen before. It's also true about when i run my hands through my hair. I never have clumps in my hand. That's the weird thing!!

i kinda did but i did not really get the answers i was looking for so i thought i would ask again i just wnated to know if i would be able to tell f my shed was going to be that huge, i only asked about styling and if that made peopls hair fall out, i didnt ask if the shed would be a great increase

Hey Bro,

I just saw on your regimen that you are also using 5% minoxidil, this can also cause a shed.

How long have you been on each product...

A shed while on finasteride is not uncommon and its a sign the drug its taking its course. The hope is that the hairs that are shed will grow thicker and healthier. Its all a matter of time and patience.
