Shedding On Minoxidil - Advice Required!

Hi All,

I have been on minoxidil for about 8 months and my hair loss has definitely got worse in that time... I don’t actually even think it’s slowed down, it seems to have sped up if anything.

Because of this, I have introduced finasteride and nizoral recently but also kept up the minoxidil.

With minoxidil, I have always noticed shedding and it is as bad now (if not worse) than when I started it. My question is should I just keep nizoral and finasteride and lose the minoxidil or is the shedding common and part of its mechanism of action (even over 9 months)?

For reference, I notice about 20 or so hairs when I wash my hair and I’m sure many more through the day and night.

No, don't stop any of the big 3 now. See if there are improvement after combining it with finas and nizo. From my experience, you will lose your gains with minoxidil if you stop using it. Just stick to the routine
