I started using Minoxidil 5% a little over a month ago on my hairline and front of my head to thicken it up a little. My hair loss is relatively minimal and i had not really noticed anything on my crown, but ever since starting the Minoxidil on my hairline, i’ve been experiencing what i assume is the shed- but seemingly not on my hairline, temples, or front of my head where i’m applying the minoxidil. I’ve noticed an uptick in my shedding on my crown, and when i got out of the shower last night i looked at my crown and it was (still not THAT bad) but noticeably thinner, with a good amount of scalp showing. My question is- 1. should I just start using Minoxidil on my scalp now and 2. is it possible that the shed occurs on a part of the head that isn’t the part where i’m applying the minoxidil?
