Shedding has tremendously decreased, why?

You are supposed to lose around 50 to 150 hairs per day, this is well-known and shedding usually isn't hairloss.

However, since I have long curly hair, I only wash it and comb it once a week. To my surprise and if my visual estimation is correct, I only lost last night around 100 to 150 hairs during 7 days! (Same as last week. In the past, I used to usually lose while showering & combing an accumulation of 600 to 700 (for 7 days)).

Does this signify anything? NW2 here, been on finasteride for 7 months now and minoxidil (applied only on bald temples) for almost 4 months now.

I always advise against counting hairs. Counting hairs brings little information. For one, you could lose hairs outside the shower, even without noticing it, just some wind while walking down the street etc. Also the amount of shedding doesn't actually tell a whole lot about your balding progress. If I lose 200 hairs a day, but 200 new hairs arise, there's no problem at all. But if I lose only 90 hairs and only 70 come back, I am in fact, losing ground.

The best way to track progress is by taking pictures every few months under the same light (ideally, same room, same angle) and analyze these pictures objectively. (Stability is a success, by the way.)
