Shedding & GM's

I'm new to this as I have just noted some thinning effects and would like to nip it in the bud before things progress. I have been reading up on all this and the only serious options it seems are finasteride -minoxidil - nizoralle. I'm concerned about this shedding effect that seemingly a lot of people have. Whilst I've read about the telogen - anagen scenario I don't want to be putting something on my hair that is seemingly adding insult to injury and see more hair come out.
I have ordered some finasteride as I think I can come to terms if I lose more but over a sustained period of time and not months as seems to be the case for some that take what are purported to be 'treatments' (and hopefully they are)

I have read some stories where people have apparently taken it, had shedding, and then a few months later have regrowth, the quality of which is a little unclear.

Can anyone explain their experiences of this or happens to know someone that expereinced this?

It seems that most of it happens with Minoxidil but a number of people report to be having good results with this drug.

I think people need to be on the lookout for guerilla marketers (GM's) as well, as having recently completed a masters in Marketing I know all about the tricks that companies do in these chat room/forums. Plant a stooge and stoke the fires of insecurity. If you are there reading these you have to be a true scum bag to encourage people to buy products that worsen a condition which to the person experiencing it already feels like a fairly substantial hoof in the balls. I'm sure you will be repaid for your disservice to humanity in one way or another, probably in the form of a dud v**** Mr Johhny no horn. If there are some GM's on these boards its practically impossible to find out one way or another.

If there are no GM's and the products are well intentioned with some people experiencing bad effects in the way of shedding with something you are taking in the hope that it will stop it and your hair sheds - dam that would be scary and I sympathise.

Can anyone out there offer some advice on this please as it seems to be a true nightmare potentially waiting to happen?

Oh and GM's if / when you're out there - :firing:

Started finasteride last year and went about 7-8 months with good progress. Then around month 9 all hair broke lose. It went to sh*t. Then it recovered again. You will have this pattern quite a lot through the use of finasteride. That's until the shedding phase goes back into allignment and you start to shed at different rates rather than all at once which then gives the impression you are going bald quicker.

But it really differs from person to person..

There appears to be no set pattern with the shedding issue. Some go through it some do not. I believe these hairs are shedding for a reason and that things will improve soon there after as that is what I experienced.
This is the reality of any male pattern baldness regime. You can never really be 100% of anything as hair goes through cycles and many factors can effect your hair quality no matter if you have male pattern baldness or not.
Many of the people on this website have a lot of knowlege of the current hairloss treatments and any spammers cannot hide for long unless they provide a very good arguments with solid evidence.

Johnny,

GM's will know they're topic and will be convincing as they need to be. They will be persauding and mining information for their employer.
I'm not saying they are 100% definately on here as you will never know. Only that it's worth keeping in mind.

I for one am always on the hunt and anyone trying to sell or promote anything for their own profit is not tolerated. Thanks for the input.
Read around and I think you will see that there is not much spamming going on and I encourage you to do your homework as I did a lot of research before deciding to take a medicine that is required to be taken everyday of one's life to remain effective.
