Basically, as topic line. Been using Finasteride 1mg since January 2012, minoxidil foam since last June, and my density is taking quite a hit at the moment.

Also, I realise that it's hard to be objective about such matters, but I seem to be shedding more hair, say when washing, than usual. Nothing as bad as pre- treatment sheds though.

Something to be worried about, or just a typical thing that happens? I have always been worried since starting hair loss treatments that the effects would 'wear out' eventually (even though I have had no regrowth from baseline with either treatment).

not a serious thing, it is likely that a lot of the hairs' life cycles are synced up pretty well and almost 3 years later a lot of them enter telogen together. It doesn't mean they are miniaturizing, although they could be

zzzzz makes a good point. I wouldn't worry too much at this point.

hi kirby, what was your Norwood when you started finasteride and your age. Thanks. Perhaps try dutasteride if you lose more ground that is if you did not encounter any sides from finasteride at all.

29 and NW2 or 3 depending on who I ask. I have diffuse balding too.

I would try dutasteride but it's next to impossible to get it prescribed legally/legitimately as a hair loss treatment here in the UK, even just finasteride is a stressful nightmare to get hold of.
