Severe Hair thinning

Hi Guys,

I am 55 male with severe thinning of hair.
Side and back not so bad, but you can basically see my scalp through my hair on top of head.
Am I right in saying this is male pattern baldness?

I have never seen any hair fall out or clumps in sink or brush, just a recent thinning.
2 years ago I had nice thick hair, but now this!

Don't know why I am on here, just looking for the old miracle cure and some advice I suppose.

I am now wondering about me health after reading about prostrate problems and hair loss, are these typically connected?

Unfortunately there is no cure. We really don't even know the cause for male pattern baldness yet. I have taken dutasteride for a year and a half which is supposed to block like 90 percent of DHT and yet my hair still continues to thin.

at 55 you should not worry about hairloss anymore.
