Gees guys, when someone talks about Marijuana, I can't help but bring up the concern that a cop that I interviewed once on the radio stated about it...that it's a gateway drug I'm sure that it has it's medicinal purposes BUT you still need to exercise caution when using it.

:roll: Oh, come on man! Youve clearly never tried the stuff. First, the cop was just trying to make weed sound waaaayyy more harmful to justify it being illegal, so therefore you can be arrested...therefore he can still be in need of a job. I have smoked weed since 15 as with many of my friends and most, with the exception of one, maybe 2 have tried harder drugs afterwards...like coke or heroin, or even acid or speed. There is NO physical addiction to Marijuana like there is cigarettes, unless you were to put tobacco in your joints. The "addiction" is more of a mental addiction, meaning you like being in the state "high" youre in.

The reason people claim it is a gateway drug is because no one tries to think why this is. Meaning,... for most people who first try any drug, such as alcohol or weed, acid, etc....most people are in their early teens when they first encounter such stuff. I know its true here in the USA.
So,...are you most likely going to be able to access and afford cocaine? Heroin? Most likely NO f*****g way. Besides most adolescents are too scared by them.
Now, alcohol is readily available but can still be a b**ch to buy before you are 21.
WEED, on the other hand IS f*****g EVERYWHERE and is failry cheap giving you a fun clean high. Pure and simple. No one has ever died from it or went on a murderous rampage while on it. Its f*****g impossible. Have you ever seen 2 people get in a fight who were seriously high? No...were they drunk or just stupid........I would bet my money on either.

So, weed is seen as less harmful than the hardcore sh*t some people regress to. It is more abundant and cheaper compared to the others and the intense physical addiction from it is just not there.

So, how come you never hear alcohol being a gateway drug? I bet if there was a study done on the earliest form of drug you experienced (besides caffeine :roll: ) it would be alcohol. So many people blindly look away from alcohols dangerous properties and possible physical addiction and say its fun and totally acceptable, and it can be. But weed is illegal and gets a bad rap?! f*****g baffles me.

But, in closing.... weed is in no way shape or form a drug that ENTICES, LEADS or MAKES you try other drugs. It all comes down to the person. Some people say "Yay"..others say "Nay" when it comes to hardcore sh*t.
Ive always said "No"... no need, as long as I can get high with some friends, hang out, talk about funny intelligent stuff, and later on run to the store for some Ben and Jerrys ice cream.......Now, is that so bad?
