So I was extremely sensitive on finasteride. I tried to ride the sides out, but that didnt happen. Either way, thankfully after I quit, everything went back to normal.
Being said that I was sensitive to finasteride, does it have anything to do in regards to how I would react to a topical antiandrogen, such as spironolactone?
I was told that spironolactone has almost no chances of sides since it doesnt easily get absorbed. I also read of ONE person who said he didnt recover from spironolactone sides, which i'm not sure makes sense.
Feedback. Advice, everything is appreciated. Thank you

I had great success with finasteride but horrible sides. So I switched to minoxidil/azelaic acid with spironolactone (liquid and then cream). This combo worked better for me than finasteride but I did have sides. Not as bad as finasteride but still very troubling.

I was sensitive to finasteride and also sensitive to topical spironolactone.

I got sides from spironolactone, not just ED, but also anxiety, depression and fatigue... I gave up a month ago and things are slowly, slowly getting back to normal, but for a while there I was very concerned as the ED lingered for along time afterward unlike with finasteride... I was applying spironolactone twice a day, but very, very sparingly.

My advice is try spironolactone two or three times in your first week & if you get sides after that quit immediately. For most people it seems to be fine, but I've read plenty of people on here getting Gyno from it and I suffered sides also, so just be wary.

The mental sides were almost immeadiate, as I remember a few days after starting spironolactone, thinking why the hell I was so tired and lethargic all the time. At that point, I actually had no idea it could cause these problems but after researching the drug properly I realised it was most probably spironolactone.

I can confirm the ED was also from spironolactone because a week after quitting it I took a summer grass complex pill to try and help my situation, but I was still almost completely unresponsive... normally those kind of supplements get me hard as concrete for days...

Sure enough I tried taking another summer grass complex pill last week and I was getting spontaneous hard'ons all the time...even in the gym while doing my deadlift exercises :woot: it was pretty embarrassing really! So, it seems my hormones are slowly getting back to normal since I quit spironolactone over a month ago.
