Hi guys i mght not have proof to show, but based on visual and anecdotal evidence n my part i seem to notice that asians do not "go bald overnight" and at least enver seen one or heard from one in the country i reside in

And many complants here about Propecia making it worse or not working seems to be very very few...and the general notion among asians is that caucasians cant escape male pattern baldness and it strikes them early...

FOr eg. give one example of any young asian celebrity who is losing his hair...Even if he is , he must an old bird llike jackie Chan or John Woo

In case u guys ddont know, it has been accepted in the field of hair loss that male pattern baldness seems to prefer race and ethinicity..

To my knowledge, the effect of race on the effectiveness of Propecia hasn't been studied, but 88% of the people in the Propecia trials were Caucasian. According to some anecdotal evidence from dermatologist groups, race doesn't seem to be a factor.

i am not doubting the capability og propecia. if it works, then it should work...I am talking about the male pattern baldness and racial preference for the demon

those who had fast aggressive male pattern baldness were most likely be caucasians...in my country there are many expats and even their children in their 20s with that receding hairline which somehow looks real bad when compared to our own native asian in their same age group...so somehow something was there in the evolution tree for caucasians

"Androgenetic alopecia remains the most common cause of male pattern baldness (male pattern baldness) in all races. The prevalence of male pattern baldness in Caucasians is well documented. The prevalence of male pattern baldness in Asians is believed to be very low, only one-fourth to one-third on average compared to Caucasians. However, according to my previous study, there is a clear trend indicating that it is approaching that of Caucasians. objective.

A total of 1124 men were randomized in this study. The prevalence of cosmetically significant male pattern baldness (Norwood III–VII) was 38.52% and steadily increasing with age, approaching that of Caucasians. Variant male pattern baldness was found to be 0.67% and other types of androgenetic alopecia was 0.6%. From an ethnic point of view, the majority of the groups were of mixed blood and mostly of Chinese origin, thus we were unable to distinguish between Chinese and Thai. conclusion.

This study shows that the prevalence of male pattern baldness in Asians is not as low as previously thought. The cause of this increasing prevalence is uncertain. There are no past studies in Thailand for comparison, however, it can be extrapolated that the socioeconomic environment and westernized diet may contribute to this prevalence.
