Seeking opninions to find the best hair transplant surgeon

Hi Every1, I am 26 with a diffuse thinning. I seriously considering abt hair transplant. I've been talking to Armani's consultant and Dr Wolf of hair transplant surgeons and now trying to determine the best Doctor to go for. I in St'louis,Mo and trying to locate a good hair transplant specialist around. I need help form the ppl in this forums when got a hair transplant (preferebly diffuse thinned candidate) abt their experiences with different docs and results they've achieved and some recommendations on dos and donts. Lotta ppl here and even hair transplant surgeons I've talked to recommended me to get on propecia and minoxidil but I dont want to go on drug route for some specific reasons. 4000 grafts is the estimate from armani's clinic (I dont know if its too much. I read somewhere mega session are not usually good..what do u guys think?) and 1500 grafts from Dr. Wolf (he doesnt want to do it on the crown just on the frontal areas). Please help me with your opinions on my findings.

Diffuse thinning is the worst kind for hair transplants. Shock loss, even with the best surgeons can make you end up with less hair than when you started. If you are not doing finasteride, what do you think will happen in 5 years when you suddenly find yourself with most of your hair falling out around your transplant?

Instead of taking finasteride I dont mind going for one more hair transplant for all the lost hair. I've seen very good results after hair transplant on Diffuse type hair losses.

Yes, there are some good transplants. Just keep in mind that the possibility having bad shock loss is real. Also, without stopping your hairloss with finasteride, you will be chasing your hairloss forever. It will probably take more than two transplants and you'll probably run out of donar hair first, since you are so young.

Okay, diffuse hairloss is tricky even with the best doctors. I was a diffuse n/w 2(front) before and went to a n/w 5 pattern after a procedure.Left with sparse unnatural hair in front and nothing behind it. The best doctors will advise you of this. A QUACK, and there are many, will capitalize on it.Sometimes doing nothing is the best answer. Of all the doctors out there I believe Ron Shapiro of MN. is the best.Due to his patient screening and skills. If you find a doctor who tells you what you want to hear your in deep trouble.

Sublime, my main thinning area is on front (area 2 and 3 ..and front half in 4) I have a good hair line and Dr Wolf recommended m has gave an estimate of 1500g in the top front. I have lot of questions on visibility of hair transplant. I dont know how many days to hide my head after hair transplant. How long did it take for you to heal the hair transplant? If you are ok I want to know ur xperience after hair transplant. Can u send me ur pics. Thank you guys for your help.
