i began using propecia in 1997 (at the age of 19 or so), i believe. since i started, i've been using 1mg daily. it had a great effect on my hair. people used to tease me and say i was going bald even when i was 16 years old. from about 1999 onwards i don't think one person ever said a word or thought to themselves i was balding. through about 2010 i had zero side effects. great bedroom life and never a problem. recently i think i've been having some standard issues with bedroom performance and less volume although my libido is fine, which makes it more frustrating. i can't be completely positive because any situations have been...less than ideal. but i'd say there's a good chance. so my first question is-my doctor can do blood tests to determine if my hormone levels are not where they should be? because of the great success i've had with the drug it's tough for me to say i'd just give up on it. but i'm now 36 so perhaps it's time for me to accept natural fate. but thinking i might want to stay on it since it doesn't seem like there's a safer medical non topical alternative-i was thinking of halving my intake. so .5mg daily. or maybe even .25mg. i imagine this would help mitigate issues some? and are there other ways, supplements, perhaps, that could also help combat problems. i'm a bit overwhelmed by all the various suggestions to supplements i see online but i'd have no problem taking anything that would be suggested. zinc seems like a start. i see there's now a topical which works on DHT as propecia does but i don't think a topical is something i'd use successfully. i do use prescription nizoral as well as the propecia. any suggestions are much appreciated. thank you. oh one more question-so i am seeing that there's not some sort of DHT blocking shampoo? a topical i have to leave on all night i can't see using but i could use a shampoo i must leave on for a bit like nizoral. but not sure this is possible.
