Has anyone ever gotten these? they end up real big and very very tender to the touch and usually a patch of hair will be missing from that spot until the cysts goes down and the hair cycle catches back up.

Is there anyway to prevent them?

so have you found anything that actually prevents or helps?
What helped against my folliculitis is a shampoo with selenium sulfide (ask for one in your local pharmacy), mixed with tea tree oil (about 2 ml per 100 ml shampoo). It helped a lot, but if I stop using it the bumps return quickly.

i do find that the minocycline does help, it eliminates the problem as long as you take the medication, but as soon as it runs out, a week after it comes back, i also find that nizoral takes away the itch and seems to help as well
