Hello guys i have an issue.
My hair isn't too bad at the moment but the front definitely seems to be thinning. I purchased nizoral 2% and i'm thinking about using it 2-3x a week. I know that on its own it probably won't do much, but i assume that it would be better using it then not using at all (am i right?). However, i have read about people having reactions and experiencing shedding/worse hair loss after using nizoral. This has me worried, i don't want my hair to get worse. Is it a risk if I do use nizoral? Also Do i have to apply the shampoo to my entire scalp? or can i just massage it and apply it to my hairline?

thanks

Use regenepure DR then
or Revita
or Pura D'or.
Pura d'or does not contain ketoconazole and it works well, always left my hair looking full and thick.
one bottle lasts like 5 months too

If you are afraid of nizoral how will you be when you need to start real hair loss treatments.

Have you considered proven hair loss treatments, such as finasteride or Minoxidil. Minoxidil probably works
better compared to Nizoral.

Agreed... I think thats a huge "definitely works better".

no thinking... nizoral alone would probably do more bad than good to your hair.. gives mine a sort of wavy string like texture after i wash with it.

I would consider myself as an expert in shampoos (long curly hair requires some knowledge if you want it to look good) and I would NEVER use Nizoral. #1 shampoo rule for healthy hair: NEVER EVER use shampoo with sulfates because it is extremely drying for the scalp and thus hair. Nizoral is full of it.
I have never used Regenpure but solely based on the ingredients it should be a really good shampoo for problematic hair.

Personally I dont think shampoo makes a bit of difference. I dont even know what I use. minoxidil and finasteride are what work for hair loss.

I've been using nizoral on it's own for a couple of weeks (every 3 to 4 days as instructed on the bottle) and seems like it's made my hair even thinner. On the plus side it has gotten rid of most of my dandruff but that's little consolation.
If you look at the leaflet that comes with the shampoo it even mentions hair loss as a potential side effect! So a product that's meant to stop hair loss can also make your hair loss worse!

Nizoral by itself won't do jack ****.
Personal nizoral didn't do anything except bother my scalp.
Revita is my favourite shampoo and it contains 1% ketoconazole

For me nizoral helped for the dandruff a lot...regarding the hairloss i think the speed of loss has gone down after i started with nizoral..maybe its just what i think but it has definitely not made it worse. The qulaity of my hair has gotten better and i feel better which i think helps.

I use 2 times every week and let it stay in the hair for 5 minutes

I use nizoral 2% every third day (Revita on the others). I leave it on for at least 10 minutes and sometimes 15, 20. It's nothing to be scared of. I've never noticed anything, regarding sides. It's also only mild with regards to helping male pattern baldness.

Dont mean to burst your bubble on this but I contacted divine skin the makers of Revita and the rep confirmed Revita shampoo only contains .25% ketoconazole.
