Scared to ever stop taking after 6+ years..

I began taking propecia at 21 when I (and others) began to notice significant thinning in the crown area. Now it is 6 years later, and I have not had much, if any, further loss in that area. The front hairline has more recently begun to thin out for which I have been using minoxidil for 2+ years.

I guess my question is, what the hell would happen to me if I stopped both of these treatments? Would I quickly reverse years of treatment and lose all of my hair?

Wow.. I hate thinking about how dependent I am on this stuff. Because I started early, I have absolutely no idea how bald I might be right now had I never started. I just ASSUME that these drugs have been doing their job because hair is still on my head.

You will lose your results, unfortunately. It's the devil's bargain. You can switch to Avodart, if you really want to. It might help your frontal area.
