Wonder if you can shed any light. I feel like my scalp is always greasy and it seems to get greasy quick. When i give it a scratch i get a residue type substance under my finger. I have just started using Nizoral again as i thought it may have been irritating my scalp before but i have ruled this out. Any ideas on what i can do?

You could try using Neutorgena's T/Gel. Look around this forum and its highly recommended. It was also the shampoo used during the Propecia trials.

Moving From finasteride!!!

Gentlemen, need your help!!! I have been on finasteride 1mg since march and i am getting alot of acne i cant seem to clear. Ive tried improving my diet drastically, no alcohol and the doctor prescribed me acne antibiotics. None seem to help! I did have acne before finasteride but dont think it was as persitant as this. I think its the finasteride bnecause i was in hospital for a month and i never had any finasteride or acne drugs. My skin totally cleared up and i was eating sh*t.

Anyway question is should i come off finasteride and go onto something else or should i stick with it??

Please help dont want acne but dont want to lose my hair!!ah!!

Stick w/ the finasteride - but get yourself a tube of retin-a. Stuff's great for zits.

I would get a lot of acne on 1mg of propecia mainly on my forehead and all over my neck front and back, I'm 28 and never had any acne before propecia just a few spot here and there around puberty and those spots where usally on my back. When I cut down to .5mg of propecia I very rarely get any acne and skin seems a lot drier basically like it should be.

Ok that really sounds my only option. So what should i cut finasteride down to? For ease of cutting also? How can i be sure its working? The problem i have been dealing with nerve problems on my scalp that has been causing inflamation thats making me lose hair also. Anyway i have nothing to compare too cause im not taking photos until i get rid of this problem, HELP!!??

I have the same thing. Greasy scalp and more zits (though still not a lot). I might try some retin-a cream.
