Could be male pattern baldness related.

Could also be from using shampoo's too often and drying out your scalp.

I was overusing T-gel and nizoral and my scalp starting hurting for a while, same with Tony Montana, i'm not sure how his turned out, but mine got alot better when I cut back on shampoo's a little bit. Try it. That's the only advice I have.

I remember having intense sourness in the early stages of hairloss back in 94' and I can tell you with 100% confidence that your scalp is inflamed or in other words experiencing inflammation. I use a nightly topical lotion called 'scalp elixir' you can buy at http://www.vitacost.com . I\You better do something about the dht as well.
Shampoo every other day.

KEVING, silly question, but what are you using for treatment? That sounds like a response from using a topical solution?

before you go out and buy another product, research or search for "trichodynia" and "burning scalp syndrome". i've found that alcoholic topicals can exacerbate the problem, but they are not the cause.

It sounds like I had something similar aswell as the burning scalp whenever i parted areas of my hair it felt like i had lots of needles stabbing into my scalp in the area where i parted my hair and as soon i left that area alone it went. :?

Im using the following;

nizoral x3 weekly and T-Gel ever other day plus normal shampoo such as Loreal Elvive and a conditioner after nizoral.

My Scalp seems to itch and its sore when pressed, it a weird feeling. Going to try emu oil at night see if that works. What do you think i should do??

I also have a scalp pain, but slightly different. When I run my hand through my hair, forcing the hair against its natural flow, I can feel pain at the roots of the hair.

I would think this is normal, but it only happens at the top where male pattern baldness seems/would seem to be acting.

Dunno really...
