Do itching increases hairloss?

when i apply minoxidil before i go to bed, my scalp itches while im sleeping during the night. when i apply it in the daytime it doesnt itch.
any suggesions? is this normal?

I don't know if itching increases hairloss but I know it can't help. I recommend anti-itch shampoos, they are the easiest way to control the itching. If they are not enough try some emu oil. The anti-itch shampoos I use are: Neutrogena T-Sal and T-gel as well as Nizoral. Hope this helps.
