Scalp Itch/Pain

Ok need help again. My head scalp is really really itchy all the time and hurts when pressed.

I am just back on finasteride and using Tricomin shampoo and conditioner and also using Loreal thickening Shampoo.

I did use T-Gel and nizoral but think maybe thats not helping the itch.

Ive tried Emu Oil and Jasons Thin to Thick for 3 weeks each and no change.

Could my scalp be inflamed and causing the itch???

Was going to try Inflamil next, what you think??

I think you should go to a dermatologist and ask for help. Judging from your posts you have a level of itching that goes well past what most experience here. Perhaps a doctor would have some good suggestions on how to get a handle on it.

Aside from hairschmair's excellent suggestion, maybe try some copper peptides, like folligen or tricomin. They're supposed to be very good anti-inflammatories, and good for scalp health in general.

When did the itching/pain start? It might be a reaction to one of the topicals or shampoos you've used.

In the meantime, maybe try one of the cooling shampoos with mint or something in them. It will at least give you a bit of temporary relief. Rinsing with cool/cold water also helps.
