Has anyone else experienced scalp irritation after taking Nizoral shampoo? I applied it for the first time 3 days ago and only took it once. But 1-2 days later there appeared to be some red bumps on my head, especially around my hairline. is this normal?

I used the 2% for a few weeks EOD and over time it made my scalp dry and flaky with redness around the hairline. I stopped for a bit and just used Pura D'or Gold for about 5 days and it all cleared up. I tried Regenepure DR a bit later on which is 1% keto and had the same problem but a little less. I still use it once or twice a week when I feel like it because it makes my hair feel great and obviously its a decent anti androgen, but any more than that and it causes more harm and the flaking makes the hair fall out.

I've been on a massive quest to try and stop my itchiness.

I can't say for sure, but I think a few drops of tea tree oil added to the Nizoral does make it more bearable.

Even if it does nothing for the itching it at least makes your shower smell like a turkish bathhouse.

Also try leaving it in for less long and rinsing with cooler water (I'm pretty sure that a hot rinse makes my itchiness worse).

Just my 2c :)
