Scalp Acne (seven Seven Seven Seven Words)

Hey guys,

So I get scalp acne. I've attached a few photos of it after I recently got my sides and back of head faded. I know for a fact that it's not due to irritation from the razer blade because I could feel these same spots when my hair was longer there, now they're just revealed.

Anyone have any idea what to do to get rid of this? What's the cause? I'm already taking propecia because I thought it might help being that acne is usually a hormonal thing and I thought too much dht could cause it but they're still there.

I have tried nizoral, coal tar, and salicylic acid, and I use free and clear shampoo regularly. I've also tried bunch of other shampoos over the last two years.

How can I fix this? What's the cause?

Do they hurt alot?

I've had tiny red bumps filled with pus some years ago. nizoral and piroctone olamine eod helped clear it if I recall.

When i went to another derm lately, he told me to use an acidic (ph around 5.5) conditioner to restore the scalp's natural acid mantle. This was for my sebhoreic dermatitis/dandruff. it helped a bit with the scalp itch. i dont get scalp acne much in the first place however.

i think when some ppl get sebhoreic dermatis and/or dandruff they freak out and start using a ton of shampoos and make it even worse
