Hi:
I'm from Montreal so my English is not perfect. I've been taking Proscar (1/4) for 2 months & 3 weeks now. I had problems with dandruff since day one. I bought Nizoral and was using it every 3 days...no other shampoos in between. I still had a lot of dandruff so I decided to buy TGel (2% Coal Tar) and started using it for the other days (Nizoral + TGel)
Three weeks ago I started to use TGel only and eliminated Nizoral from my regimen . I thought maybe I wasn't a good responder for Nizoral.
Sadly, I still have flakes even though I use TGel every day!!! (it says wash, rinse and then repeat application but I don't do it)
On top of that, I've read on this website that if I don't get rid of dandruff while I take Proscar there will be no improvement on my hair growth.
I noticed that I'm losing around 30+ hairs a day and no improvement at all.

Your advise will be VERY VERY appreciated

Thanx

I've had far less flakes using Dr.Lee's regular minoxidil than I'd get from rogaine/generic minoxidil. Lee's has 30% propylene glycol compared to rogaine's 50%pg. For many this means less flakes/itch and dries very fast too. If you'r outside the US, you can order without filling out their consultation form and paying the $20 fee. US citizens have to email them at their site - http://www.minoxidil.com and request the form before ordering. The regular minoxidil is #503 on the order page btw. There is also PG free minoxidil if the regular doesn't do the trick.

Another product I've found reduces flakes very well for me (and others), is the Japanese product 'T-flav' available at http://www.kurogrow.com/innovate_eng.html the stuff is kinda pricey. I paid about $120 for 2 bottles a few months ago. I use about 20 shots of the stuff twice per day and it looks like my first bottle will last 2-1/2 to 3 months. Been worth it for me so far.

Whether or not it really improves hair thickness/fallout seems to vary by user, but most find it improves scalp condition well.

Emu oil or aloe are cheaper options to try. Haven't used them myself but I think many find they work well.[/url]

Oh btw, I wouldn't bother with the Innovate sold at the Kurogrow site. Nobody seems to have had any good results from it.
