scabby red head

NO PICS ANYMORE. NO QUESTIONS REGARDING MY PARANOIA, JUST A QUESTION ABOUT MY SCABBY HEAD.

my scalp is bright red. i'm fair, so it could be that it's sunburned slightly as well, but i'm in england and there's no sun. anyway, towards my crown and the back of my head it's scabby. sometimes if i scratch my head i accidentally pull of a yellowish scab. my head also get's very itchy when it's hot, and sometimes it just feels uncomfortable. i've been the docs about it and she gave me ketopine (nizoral?), and it didn't do anything. she then gave me some coconut moisturiser crap, and that did nothing. i used polytar for a bit, and went back the docs and she said it looked better, but it was still scabby. i'm back trying nizoral (branded) and as of yet nothing has happened. it hasn't been diagnosed either, at least, my gp hasn't told me what it is.

anyone got any ideas what it might be and what shampoo's or whatever i should use to clear it?

sorry, should have mentioned that. i've used that as well, before ketopine. it's been scabby, and itchy when am hot, for a while. two distinct memories i have of each is when i was in year 6, so about 10, my head was scabby and i felt it, and in year 8 or so, when i was about 12, my head was very itchy when i was hot doing p.e. so this isn't a new thing i've noticed, but it was only when i started checking my head i realised just how red my scalp is. and since then people have commented on it being 'sunburnt'.

That is beyond my laypersons knowledge, hopefully someone else will chip in but if not a trip to the dematologist would be wise

sounds like serbhoherr. dermatitis. I had that + some kind of folliculitis... What helped me was a shampoo with seleniumsulfide in it... I also added a little tea tree oil to the shampoo which helped too.
