im your classic male pattern baldness dude...i even have an enlarged prostate and im only 23---thank you dht--saw palmetto works for me personally--for the prostate---and i dont care what anyone says--there simply havent been enough studies to determine a solid answer on this matter in terms of its potential preventative role for hair loss--now in and of itself saw palmetto prolly wont do much, just like nizoral in and of itself prolly wont do much but if you combine those two in a regimen that also includes minoxidil 5%, you may have something to work with...heres some more food for thought--anyone ever heard of pygeum? I picked some up at gnc along with zinc (which ive heard as well has antiandrogenetic properties). Ive heard pygeum is a dht inhibitor as well so ive included it in my regimen in the pst month or so....and if the word on saw palmetto is out-that it really isnt effective, what about pygeum?anyone know about that herb? that would be interesting to find out about---but for now im including both...since i cant find a goddamn dr to prescribe propecia for me...they just keep giving me antibiotics
What!?!?!? You have an enlarged prostate and the doctors will not prescribe you finasteride?!?! What the f***!!!!!!! But they'll give ya antibiotics!?!? Thats bullshit!!!! Antibiotics in the long run and too often are not good for you at all. I feel for you man. You need to see a real doctor. Maybe you should try getting finasteride off the internet. :?

oh no, i definitely wouldnt make them the cornerstone of my plan either---im on month 4 of minoxidil/retin-a combo twice a day--still shedding-but nevertheless regrowth(talk about odd, the areas I have hair look somewhat fuller despite the shedding-someone told me my hairline hasnt looked this good in 2 years the other day) and less areas with no hair-hardly a miracle result but still better than before...but I do think that using alternative treatments as a supplement to the proven ones cant hurt and they may even help-even if, hypothetically, we were 99% sure that SP has no affect whatsoever on hair loss, that does NOT mean other herbal or nutritional remedies wouldnt help..along with the zinc, pumpkin seed oil( in this extra strength natures choice SP I get at CVS), pygeum, and folic acid, ive decided to add green tea and biotin into my daily regimen today..even if these arent helpful for regrowth, they do have the potential for making your existing hair much healthier-heres some food for thought: maybe adding nutritional supplements to your regimen-supplements that are just good for your hair-will speed up the process by which minoxidil vellus hairs become thicker terminal hairs more quickly. Hows that for consideration? And btw is it legal to order meds online?Im seriously thinking about ordering propecia-proscar whatever-although Id hate to have an even worse shed then im already having--unfortunately i havent seen anyone on this site with a similar experience-shedding and regrowth at the same time-either that or i just havent looked well enough-im just worried that starting propecia will make it worse and make me lose my minoxidil hair -that the the rate of shedding from propecia will ofset the regrowth basically--although im not even sure the shedding can be attributed so much to the minoxidil than to coloring and bleaching my hair excessively-but thats another story lol..on another herbal note,if anyone knows about pygeum id be interested in hearing---the only thing i know is that it helps your prostate-dht inhibitor--but if, in fact, we were 100% sure that SP does not inhibit the dht in th bloodstream, what about pygeum...?perhaps that one does

Yes, it is legal to order meds online. I do agree with alot of the things that you have said. I am not on Propecia either and I am having good progress. But I am really thinking about doing it..............it'll probably help out quite a bit since I already have a good regimen going anyways. We'll see
